About Us

On 558 Broadway in SoHo, the Museum of Ice Cream turns what you thought you knew about a museum visit completely upside down. There are no velvet ropes keeping you back from the art here. You are the art. Over 10,000 visitors have rated this place, and the word that keeps coming up in their reviews is the same one you'll say walking out: wow.

Across 14+ immersive playscapes, guests slide, splash, and snack their way through rooms built around the most joyful food on earth. The crown jewel is the Sprinkle Pool, a sea of pastel sprinkles you can actually swim in, a moment so absurd and so delightful that it's become one of the most photographed spots in New York City. Every room is a set piece. Every corner is a photo waiting to happen.

But this is not just a backdrop for your camera roll. The ice cream is real, the portions are generous, and the variety surprises people every single time. Reviewers consistently call out the quality and range of flavors, plus the exclusive one-of-a-kind desserts you cannot get anywhere else. Open seven days a week from 9:30 AM, with extended hours on Fridays and Saturdays, it fits into a SoHo afternoon or a full-day family adventure equally well.

What We Offer

The experience starts the moment you walk through the door and does not let up. Unlimited ice cream treats are included with admission, served across the playscapes in sampling cups that let you graze through flavors without ever committing to just one. The exclusive desserts go beyond standard scoops, featuring creations you will not find at any other shop in the city.

Beyond the playscapes, the café serves cocktails and sweet treats for guests who want to linger. The retail shop carries Museum of Ice Cream merchandise and gifts, and gift cards make it easy to share the experience with someone who deserves a seriously good day. The museum also hosts private events, making it one of the more memorable venue options in Manhattan for birthdays, brand activations, and group outings.

With locations also in Chicago, Miami, Boston, Las Vegas, and Singapore, Museum of Ice Cream has built a global footprint, but the New York City flagship on Broadway remains the original anchor of the whole sweet universe.

"Museum of Ice Cream was a lovely experience for those of all ages. I went with two of my friends and had a splendid time. There is unlimited ice cream and lots of photo opportunities to document your enjoyment. The flavors varied from traditional vanilla, chocolate, and rocky road to interesting ones like passion fruit, granadilla, and ube! There are many interactive rooms, an activity room, a slide, and a sprinkles pool! I recommend buying your ticket in advance and to choose a weekday. There are elevators, a restroom, and there are dairy-free options. Eat before you come, but leave lots of room for dessert! Enjoy 💕"

"The museum is very entertaining with its theme on Ice cream, the history and interactive displays. A nice place to do things with your kids. From sampling (small cups] various ice cream flavors, opening old fashioned fridge doors containing puzzles, train to other destinations, and other things. Let's not forget the Pool of Sprinkles which anyone can jump into, provided you take your shoes off before taking a dip."

"Definitely worth every penny! Immaculate, well thought out, and something for everyone, from pre/schoolers to adolescents. Entertaining enough for parents, very creative—and that unlimited ice cream! Brought my 8 year old granddaughter and we loved every minute, in fact, we went through 3 times. Super friendly staff, and the greeter even remembered Gabby’s name as we walked out. PRO TIP #1: bring a bottle of water with you. The kids are very active, and they get thirsty and ice cream is not a thirst quencher (you can purchase on site for $6) PRO TIP #2: get there on the early side, as the place fills up. We had an 11:30 am slot that was pretty empty for most of our experience, but the line to get in when we left at 1:30 was pretty long."

"It’s a tourist trap, and once is definitely enough. I would say it’s definitely not worth the money for what the experience actually is - between groups of kids running, screaming & climbing on everything (which I of course expected) there’s also drunk and rowdy adults as well (there’s a small bar). There’s only one room that has an actual exhibit with some history in it, otherwise it’s just one of those interactive selfie experiences. What I do want to mention is that the staff is amazing! Every single staff member we interacted with was an absolute angel."
